The results of research on "Assessment of the contents of piperine in black pepper berries Piper nigrum L." conducted by Joanna Newerli-Guz, Maria Śmiechowska (Newerli-Guz, Joanna, and Maria Śmiechowska. "Assessment of the contents of piperine in black pepper berries Piper nigrum L.").
The contents of piperine in black pepper was determined. The contents of piperine in all investigated samples was on the standard level, more then 4 % of dry basis.
Statistically important origin influence on piperine contents is also reported. The lowest piperine contents in 2006 was 5,85%, and the highest amounted to 9,53%. In 2007 the piperine contents ranged from 5,77% to 7,19%.
